For many years it transmitted its signal on frequency 15 of the radio spectrum in the UHF Band (Ultra High Frequency). Its signal was broadcast on cable subscription television through channel 63 until 2018. In the context of the socio-political crisis and systematic violation of Human Rights that Nicaragua has been experiencing since April 2018, Canal 100% Noticias was violently raided by police agents of the Daniel Ortega regime on December 21 of the same year, then its signal was abruptly interrupted from the air. At the same time, journalists Miguel Mora and Lucía Pineda Ubau - Director-owner and Press Chief respectively - were arbitrarily imprisoned by the Ortega regime. Mora and Pineda Ubau remained unjustly imprisoned for almost six months. In June 2019, both Mora and Pineda Ubua were released along with more than 100 political prisoners in the context of a questioned Amnesty Law. Three months later, August of the same year, journalists reactivated the operation of 100% Noticias through their digital platform. In February 2021, the Ortega regime inaugurated a "Care Center for people with Addictions and Alcoholism" in the building where the news channel operated, facilities confiscated de facto and arbitrarily handed over to the Ministry of Health. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) awarded the "International Freedom Award of Press" to journalists Miguel Mora and Lucía Pineda Ubua in 2019. In addition, Pineda Ubau received the "Courage Award" awarded by the International Women Media's Foundation (IWMF) the same year. In February 2023, at least 317 Nicaraguans were arbitrarily stripped of their nationality in retaliation by the Ortega regime, including journalists Mora and Pineda Ubau.
