African Newspage is a Pan‑African digital newsmagazine and media organisation dedicated to reporting on Africa’s development agenda. Established in 2016 and published by Newspage (Africa) Media Limited, it focuses on thematic coverage that supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Its editorial remit centres on governance, trade and industry, peace and security, agriculture and food security, gender and social inclusion, education and public health, natural resource governance, environment and climate change. African Newspage produces news, features, analyses, interviews, opinion pieces, podcasts and video content, and it engages in content syndication and capacity‑building initiatives for journalists. The organisation positions itself as a resource for policymakers, practitioners, researchers and citizens interested in continental development policy and implementation. Leadership and editorial direction are associated with founder and editor Adam Alqali, an award‑winning development journalist; the organisation and its staff have received recognition for SDG reporting. Beyond journalism, African Newspage runs training and masterclass programmes for journalists, pursues partnerships with international content and media organisations, and participates in continental policy forums (it is listed as a continental member of the AU‑ECOSOCC Permanent General Assembly).
