Água Boa News is a family business founded by Max Weber Leister Pereira, Michel Franck Leister Pereira, and Clodoeste Pereira da Silva. It is responsible for news coverage of the Araguaia Valley in Mato Grosso.
Clodoeste was a driver for FUNAI and founded a blog in the early 2000s to post photos he took in the indigenous communities of the region, called Blog do Caçu. The blog began to be sought after for advertisements, and Clodoeste started publishing journalistic content as well.
After that, in 2009, a family friend who is a journalist and broadcaster helped found the company and structure the news site. Today, Água Boa News is run by Michel Franck, Clodoeste's son.
