Alas Tensas is an independent Cuban feminist publication that offers journalism with a gender perspective, theory, criticism and research with an intersectional perspective, as well as fiction literature written mainly by women. In its sections, the hidden history of feminism is revealed, patriarchy is unmasked, and Cuban women are reflected in their diverse environments, their challenges, their current problems and their achievements in the search for autonomy and empowerment. It reports on gender discrimination and oppression and the LGTBIQ+ community, feminist activism, gender and domestic violence, and political violence against women on the island through texts, photographs, and other multimedia products.
