Alharaca is a digital native media founded by feminists and led by Salvadoran women. It was born out of the need to build our own space to create and innovate narratives about women and diversity. It is an independent media specialized in the production and sale of innovative journalistic content on gender, diversity and inclusion for a mainly Central American audience. Alharaca works by combining journalism, art, academia and new technologies to create innovative narratives. Alharaca is a project directed by women specialists in gender, inclusion, entertainment and digital narratives. Our members and collaborators belong to different generations, between 20 and 40 years of age, and come from different disciplines. We are multi-sited, producing from El Salvador, Germany, Mexico and other countries. This allows us to be a meeting point for the Salvadoran professional diaspora, but also to be a natural space for innovation and the creation of collaborative work. We strengthen the participation of women, young people and people of diversity from different social contexts and professional fields in the creation of creative and innovative content. We promote a safe space that enables empowerment and development with a collaborative and inclusive perspective. All, with the aim of positively influencing the day-to-day life of these groups, both as content creators and members of our audiences.
