Boldnews.al was founded in Tirana, Albania, aiming to become the audience's first source of accurate information.
"Our primary mission is impartiality and professionalism, and that's why we employ the best journalists in the media industry," CEO Jetmir Olldashi says. "Our society is politicised, so we have no choice but to give priority to the investigation of politicians and their corrupt actions."
Boldnews.al publishes investigations about corruption scandals in public institutions. These are divided into two sections: Investigations, which focuses on scandals of corruption involving state officials, and Vetting, which publishes information about Albania's judicial and prosecutorial system.
In 2017, Albania implemented a judicial vetting process. Since then, many judges and prosecutors have been dismissed or resigned due to their involvement in corruption scandals. Boldnews.al has continuously reported on these cases.
The media outlet started with a small team of reporters. However, the newsroom now comprises up to 20 employees.
