O Meio is an information platform based mainly on a daily curated newsletter which, over time, has also evolved into the production of original videos. It was created to combat the problem of misinformation caused by people abandoning the habit of getting their information from the professional press (reading the printed newspaper in the morning or the TV news in the evening, for example), which hierarchizes information instead of presenting it in a dispersed and fragmented way throughout the day, as happens on the internet.

Meio's aspiration is to be a "professional journalism vehicle in tune with the 21st century," which involves both the digital format and other elements, such as the division into less traditional editorials. Meio, for example, has just four: politics, living, culture, and digital daily life.
