Časoris stated mission is to guide and inspire children in order for them to be able to make informed decisions and become "active, compassionate and responsible citizens of the world".
Built on the presumption that children have a need to understand and comprehend current events, Časoris provides news in a format that is accessible to them. To this end, it employs a wide variety of journalistic genres to cover current affairs as well as a wide range of topics. All information is presented in a relevant, kid-friendly context and language.
Established in 2015, Časoris has since won numerous awards and widespread recognition.
The outlet is published by the non-profit Časoris, Information and Education Institute, and run by a team of journalists, copy editors, teachers and other professionals that regularly contribute to it. In addition, children have a place to share their stories in a dedicated section. Another section is dedicated to useful information for parents and teachers.
Časoris aims to foster an inclusive work environment, and is a signatory of the Diversity Charter of Slovenia, which commits the organisation to the promotion of diversity and equal opportunity for its staff. Its editor and founder is one of the Slovenian diversity ambassadors.
