Since 2024, El Colectivo 506 has also been committed to promoting solutions journalism in the Latin American region. Through the creation of the Fund for Solutions Journalism in Latin America, the media has created training spaces and scholarship programs for journalistic coverage.

Colectivo 506 is for people who love Costa Rica, no matter their nationality, no matter where they live, no matter if they are familiar with every corner of this country or simply dream of visiting one day. What unites our community is an appreciation for what Costa Rica represents, its traditions of conservation, education and public health, its culture and its people, and the desire to help the country continue to grow. We applaud the good that is happening here, and we also understand that there is much room for improvement. We also believe that the tools we need to address our problems are here, within our borders. We just need to figure out how to use them.
