Desinformemonos

Desinformémonos is a digital project focused on disseminating progressive political, community and alternative information in Mexico. It defines itself as a "non-profit global communication space, based on the union of many different wills. A space that joins an autonomous media effort that, fortunately, already exists and continues to grow. We are a space with information from the countryside, neighborhoods, study centers, factories and indigenous communities. "It was formally born on October 15, 2009 as an autonomous, free and independent communication project, made up of a team of communicators and people close to the social, intellectual and academic movements of Mexico. In this country the operation of the medium is coordinated, and it has an Editorial Board with members from Argentina, Brazil, France, Spain, Italy and Germany; and with collaborators in Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Belgium, Greece, Honduras, Japan, Mozambique, Turkey, Palestine, India, Thailand, Burma, Ukraine and Vietnam, among other corners of the world. The name of Desinformémonos was taken from a poem by Mario Benedetti: let's deinform ourselves brothers until the body can bear it and when it can no longer bear it then let's decide, damn let's decide and let's revolutionize.The format of Disinformémos is fundamentally digital, but "taking into account that the public we want to reach does not always have internet, and in many rural communities they do not even have electricity, we designed a magazine in letter-size PDF format, ready to download, distribute, post as a wall newspaper in schools, workplaces, public places, community spaces, etc."
