We are a regional newspaper/newspaper, neither local nor provincial; professional, founded in Cádiz by journalists from Cádiz two decades ago and consolidated in a vast digital ocean, competing in a saturated market overflowing with pseudo-journalistic websites. And we are (very) independent (secular and plural, we do not hide our counter-hegemonic, progressive - and anti-fascist - line and our social commitment). Our journey began in the summer of 2004, on July 7, and in these almost twenty years we have not stopped despite stones in the road, medieval minds, crisis and the Covid pandemic; We have told, covered and interpreted countless facts and events of more or less relevance, always with the focus on what really moves us, hurts and moves us. We cover (and are obsessed with) the Bay of Cádiz together: Cádiz, Jerez, San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa María, Chiclana, Puerto Real and Rota. A metropolitan area made up of seven neighboring towns that complement each other almost without knowing it (or looking for it) that totals 670,000 inhabitants (and in summer it exceeds 800,000 with the invasion of tourists and visitors). Today we persist in telling ourselves and interpreting our reality, without deviating, without looking beyond, without them coming from outside to tell us what we do, what we are. We have our seal, style, philosophy and our own 'product': determined to continue publishing every day a serious digital newspaper (unrelated to the trivial/superficial) with the makings of a traditional paper one. Determined to inform. Here, we don't make churros. Our professionalism is supported by the Official Registry of Digital Media of Andalusia (ROMDA Nº: OLDVVHKG21); In fact, we were one of the first communication projects exclusively on the Internet, in the entire autonomous community, to obtain this 'seal' promoted by the Professional College of Journalists of Andalusia as a badge of quality and credibility among citizens, administrations, companies and potential advertisers.
