Échos du monde is the quarterly magazine of CCFD‑Terre Solidaire, France’s long‑standing NGO for international solidarity. Relaunched in 2021 when the NGO’s historic title Faim & Développement was redesigned and renamed, the publication covers migration, climate justice, food security, gender inequality and civic movements through reported features, interviews and photo essays. Its journalism draws on CCFD‑Terre Solidaire’s network of more than 500 partner organizations worldwide and privileges on‑the‑ground perspectives from the Global South. The magazine carries no advertising and is financed by reader subscriptions. Regular sections include “Vu d’ailleurs” for international reports, “Engagement” on citizen initiatives, and culture pages reviewing books, music and films. Recent issues have examined the inflation‑driven surge in global hunger and famine in Gaza, wind‑power conflicts in Brazil’s northeast, climate adaptation in Guinea, and indigenous women resisting mining in the Philippines. Edited by journalist Audrey Chabal since 2023, the team commissions specialists and correspondents to deepen context and foreground local voices. Échos du monde also supports visual reporting through the CCFD‑Terre Solidaire Photo Prize and public conversations that bring reporters and civil‑society actors together. By centering communities most affected by injustice and environmental damage, the magazine aims to inform, connect and equip readers—activists, educators, faith networks and engaged citizens—with stories and analysis that translate solidarity into action.
