Ecovida has the purpose of spreading and raising awareness about caring for the Environment and Ecology. Its main objective is to promote healthy activities, sustainable tourism, and encourage participation in outdoor activities, while seeking to promote decisions that have a positive impact on our daily customs, transforming them into sustainable and environmentally friendly actions. Since its founding in 2007, Ecovida has focused its work on giving voice to entities related to environmental issues, science, health, sustainable tourism, recycling, technology and any area committed to caring for the planet. Through its portal and its radio program, the organization seeks to disseminate research and scientific dissemination work carried out by various actors. Ecovida's approach has been reinforced by the support of different institutions and professionals, such as CADIC CONICET, UNTDF, Foro Mar Patagónico, Greenpeace Argentina-Chile and INIDEP, among others. Likewise, they have forged alliances with Proyecto Ambiental Escuela, Ciudadanos y Clima NGO Chile, Ecosys (Social and Sovereign Ecology), UVA (Unión Vegana Argentina), AFADA, Amigos de la Patagonia, Fundación Estepa Viva, Opus G and SUNEF. Over the years, Ecovida has achieved outstanding achievements in its work of awareness and communication, which has allowed it to be invited to important events, such as the presentation of the documentary "YAGANES" in Puerto Williams, Chile, organized by NAT GEO and Pristine Seas, which addressed the problems of the salmon farming industry in the Beagle Channel and its associated risks. Additionally, in 2022 they participated in the IV Chile-Argentina Binational Colloquium on "Water, problems and solutions" in Porvenir, Chile, thanks to an invitation from the Citizens and Climate Organization and UMAG. Recognition of their work has also been supported by institutions, such as the legislature of Tierra del Fuego, which declared the Ecovida radio program and news portal of provincial interest in 2021. In 2014, the organization received the National Lanín de Oro Award in the Ecology category, in its 8th Edition.
