The personalist website was created by journalist Éder Luiz da Silva in 2010, who saw the online format grow with the popularization of Facebook. Having worked for radio and TV networks, Éder Luiz started the site with his sports news blog.
The site that followed included other coverage, such as public safety, police, cities, among others. Coverage extends from the west of the state to the Chapecó and Serra Catarinense regions, including around 30 municipalities.
With the transfer of a TV network's operations from Joaçaba to another city around two years after the launch of EderLuiz.com.vc, the founder stood out in a news desert. The Facebook page linked to the site is still his main communication channel, with 120,000 followers.
