Jován Pulgarín, general director of El Estímulo, explains that El Estímulo Media is made up of five integrated brands, with their respective editors who have editorial and journalistic autonomy within the company's corporate strategy. All the newspapers manage their respective accounts, which are very active, on the different social networks. El Estímulo works with current news of greater relevance, and with its own second and third reading content. The Interest focuses on national and international economic issues; Clímax focuses on chronicles, reports, interviews and investigative works; Bienmesabe is dedicated to trends in quality of life, health, gastronomy and restoration; UB is dedicated to urban culture trends, focused on youth audiences. The old magazines - created in partnership between Cadena Capriles and Grupo Iguana Blue in 2005, 2008 and 2003 respectively - would completely migrate to digital formats in 2014, in the midst of the profound transformation of Venezuelan journalism. Digital media is today the vanguard and the main national and international reference in the coverage of this complex society in constant crisis. Multiple forms of incomeEl Estímulo Media's business model is supported by classic digital advertising, regional digital advertising alliances with Google Ads and its advertising platform that help monetize its visits from abroad. To cover the production demand of the five media outlets, they have about 10 staff journalists, a designer and a design consultant, photographers and videographers who work on call. They also have an external staff of around 20 permanent and temporary employees. The El Estímulo portal and its brands are among the most recognized and prestigious information platforms in Venezuela. About half of its traffic comes from outside the country, mainly from Spain, the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Chile. This multimedia work has been recognized with the Journalistic Excellence awards granted by the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) in 2017 and 2018 for our work on the hunger crisis unleashed in the country, and for the bloody protests against the Chavista regime of Nicolás Maduro. The digital magazine Clímax was awarded the In-Depth Journalism award for its investigation on "The Odebrecht Case: corruption and waste in Venezuela."
