El Suspicaz is a digital media outlet that was formalized in 2017 under the coordination of Martha Guillén and Lauro Rodríguez, both journalists who graduated from CUSur. With a mission aimed at offering truthful and humanistic information for young people in southern Jalisco, El Suspicaz specializes in investigative journalism and multimedia production, focusing on social, cultural, sports and political issues in the region, especially in Zapotlán el Grande and Gómez Farías. To strengthen its impact, El Suspicaz is part of the Macollo Network, an alliance with independent media in Jalisco such as Letra Fría, Decisiones, and others. In addition, it integrates voluntary collaborations from journalism students from CUSur, seeking to consolidate itself as a reference in investigative journalism and achieve self-financing through income diversification.
