Elefante Blanco is a journalistic information and communication platform that promotes freedom of expression in one of the most silenced territories on the planet. They believe in investigative journalism and the dissemination of live news with rigor. These actions call for the generation of an informed public opinion, where the right to freedom of expression serves to observe and denounce corruption, inequality, impunity, and promote human rights in Tamaulipas and neighboring territories of the Northeast and Gulf of Mexico. Their aspiration is that, like never before, the citizens of Tamaulipas have a free media that generates exclusive journalistic investigations, news, reflection and debate with freedom; that the voices of the so-called “province” dialogue with other national territories. Given the violence that has existed in the entity for decades, a substantial part of the journalistic agenda is based on in-depth coverage of cases of Human Rights violations. On the other hand, they show the stories of resilience and the professional voices that contribute to peace and memory, following the thoughts of journalist Julio Scherer, we want to “prevent everyday life from dissolving.”
