Island Communication Space, a communication institution committed to promoting and strengthening political, social, economic, and cultural relations between the people of the Dominican Republic and Haiti, who share the island of Quisqueya. Espacinsular works from a comprehensive and participatory perspective, respecting human rights and the environment, promoting insular communication management that channels the concerns of the social sectors, civil society and organizations of both countries that seek to create a bridge of agile, current, impartial and prejudice-free information. As a means of electronic communication we promote the elimination of racial and discriminatory attitudes in Haitian and Dominican societies. We aspire for the right to communication to be recognized in both nations. We believe that it is necessary for governments to stimulate the development of communication networks together with the organized sectors of civil society and independent groups aimed at creating greater opportunities and access to information for the majority of our populations, our excluded inhabitants. We assume the commitment that another communication, alternative, service, participatory and democratic, is still possible. We advocate the construction and consolidation of an insular leadership that addresses the issues of relations Dominican-Haitian.VisionCredibility, impartiality and journalistic objectivity are part of our vision that as a media we aspire to position and consolidate, in order to contribute to the democratic education of citizens interested in promoting democratic communication channels that strengthen Dominican-Haitian relations through the Network.MissionWe are in favor of respect for human rights. We reject racism and all forms of social, ethnic, cultural or gender discrimination. We advocate for multicultural relations and believe in justice and diversity. Our mission is to be an electronic communication medium that collaborates in the promotion, consolidation and dissemination of these values.
