Gender in Detail is a media outlet serving as a space for education, knowledge, self-realisation, communication, and exchange.

It is a space at the intersection of scientific research and public dialogue. The publication offers the following sections and columns: thematic reviews, translations of literature, journalistic investigations, scientific articles, current research, statistics, practical advice, real-life examples, humour, blogs, videos, and photos.

It was founded in 2016 , on the initiative and with the support of the Heinrich-Böll Foundation in Ukraine, aiming to deepen the understanding of gender issues in the Ukrainian society. The editors are Hanna Dovgopol, coordinator of the Gender Democracy Programme of the Heinrich-Böll Foundation in Ukraine, and Tamara Zlobina, PhD in Philosophy.

The project focuses on three main components: the 'theme of the season', the library, and the community.

The 'theme of the season' is the study of the Ukrainian context from different angles and using different approaches, including professional research, socially critical humour, translations of scientific texts, discussions in the format of research remarks, and public events. The 'season' ends with a comprehensive collection of thematic materials useful in education, public administration, activist activities, and personal development and growth.

The library section aims to help teachers, students, and anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of gender studies. The multimedia section also includes videos, audio, and photos.

The community section is a database of resources and people fighting to make gender equality a reality. Over decades of independence, thousands of gender projects have been implemented in Ukraine, while the idea of gender equality is gaining more and more supporters. In the community section, everything is about gender projects and organisations.

However, the most important are people and their opinions. They use the website to share thoughts on difficult issues in a blog format.
