Groschenphilosophin discusses internet trends, female friendships, work, and pop culture.

Initially launched in 2014, Groschenphilosophin (in English: Penny Philosopher) started as a private blog, on which founder Bianca Jankovska critically reviewed the "nerdy content of my theory-heavy politics and journalism studies for the future generation". Driven by values of being unadapted, unruly, challenging, and different, Groschenphilosophin aims to make media more understandable and work-life more manageable by providing input, resources, and community in a humouristic, easily accessible, and personal way.

The blog, with six regular contributors, also focuses on the role of media and the impact of its consumption from different perspectives.

Since 2022, The bleeding overachiever has been the primary product: the first German-speaking and explicitly feminist anti-work podcast, through which Jankovska and her co-host Iris Böhm discuss everything work and period-related, three times a month. "We talk about practised laziness, work, environmental destruction, Menstrual Leave, competitive sports, vacations and layoffs, our all-time killjoy, the premenstrual dysphoric disorder, cycle-appropriate living, therapy under capitalism, and mental health outings in the workplace," Jankovska says. The podcast is due to be adapted as essays, posts and, ultimately, a book.

What makes Groschenphilosophin unique is the explicitly personal content. While it critically analyses women in the workplace, internet trends, and capitalism, Bianca consciously places her experiences and interpretations at the centre. She says that being herself is the brand: "Writing on the internet, that's my thing". Through it, she and her colleagues act as an example. They transmit an essential attitude, a vibe, "neither denying reality nor sugar-coating it, but simply questioning, criticising, and giving people a platform to express how they feel".
