The H2Foz portal is a digital native, created in 2003 in a cooperative format, with 20 cooperative journalists. Back in the days its focus was to develop a positive media agenda and cover tourism in Foz do Iguaçu, a strong point of the economy due to the border region with Argentina and Paraguay and the Iguaçu National Park.

Therefore, it sought to give visibility to issues other than drug trafficking, smuggling and other common problems in cross-border regions. Over the years, the face and format of the portal's content has changed.

In 2017, the new configuration of H2Foz shifted its coverage to local issues such as education, health and politics, while at the same time advancing cross-border issues, since the municipality borders Puerto Iguazú in Argentina and Ciudad del Este in Paraguay, and the relationships between people and services are very close and even intertwined.

One of H2Foz's objectives is to reinforce local reach among readers of the website, the newsletter and listeners to the podcast. Rather than chasing clicks with a regional or national reach, the vehicle turns its agenda and interviews to voices from the city, with the aim of consolidating itself as a reference portal for local news.
