Idealog began as print magazine in 2005, co-founded by Vincent Heeringa. It transitioned to become a digital-only platform in 2020. The publication is a sister to StopPress and NZ Marketing magazine, all titles owned by SCG Media. Idealog is dedicated to representing creativity, entrepreneurs and innovations from across Aotearoa New Zealand, telling the stories of new business ventures and startups, the latest in design, science and technology as well as news from the work-life space, like research on work from home preferences and what Kiwi workers want from their bosses. Its content also includes case studies, tips and advice from thought leaders and business founders as well as stories of success and how to get there. It is free to read and access and sends out an email newsletter to its subscribers once a week. Advertisers have opportunities across spots on the website and within the email newsletters to showcase themselves and their work.
