Jichha is a Katarista Indianist media founded in La Paz in 2017 that produces and publishes opinions, interviews, reports and essays, as well as having an academic area from which they disseminate activities and have a virtual repository of indigenous issues that contains books and films.
The medium established a series of alliances with traditional media to republish its opinion columns and to develop the program "Urnas y Warak'azos" in 2019 on Radio Deseo, the Bolivian anarcho-feminist movement Mujeres Creando, which was also uploaded to Facebook and Ivoox. On the same radio, they hosted the program "Voces Salvadas" - regarding the adjective used by President Jeanine Áñez in a speech that was accused of being racist - in which they addressed electoral issues. Currently they support the programs "Paren el Ch'inqu" and "Las caras de llama", both programs broadcast on their Facebook and YouTube platforms.
They have organized a series of in-person and virtual conversations in Spanish and Aymara. In March 2020 they published their book "Wiphala, crisis and memory. Senkata, they don't deserve you", in which they address the human rights violations that occurred in the Bolivian social crisis at the end of 2019.
Jichha maintains alliances with local Indianist organizations as well as Peruvian and Ecuadorian ones. At the end of April 2020, together with the Huwan Yunpa initiative, they launched the "Indianism and Andean America" essay contest, and in alliance with artists they have published a series of comics to explain the Andean worldview.
Faced with the coronavirus pandemic, they organized a series of virtual conversations and prepared infographic material in Aymara, even before state units.
The team is analyzing business models for their sustainability.
