Journalistic medium that makes visible and vindicates the role of women and LGBTIQ+ populations in the Peruvian and Latin American public sphere. It is one of the first Peruvian platforms to carry out work with a gender focus. Likewise, they do sound, collaborative, visual and transnational journalism.

It was created in April 2020 as part of a journalistic project carried out in the classrooms of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Its founders were seven women, of whom four continue today:  Emma Ramos, Johanna Gallegos and Melanie Soca.

In June 2021, La Antígona was established as a non-profit association. Likewise, they are currently part of the LATAM Coalition, RedLeal and the Network for Diversity in Latin American Journalism.
