The Other Shore' is a non-fiction documentary podcast that sonically portrays Latin America through stories of migrant women in Spain and soundscapes. One way to refer to the stories we want to tell is to call them stories of resistance because the protagonists are women who have turned around what was apparently their destiny and have generated change. The objective is to focus on inspiring stories because those personal experiences become political. One way to refer to the stories they tell is to call them stories of resistance because the protagonists are empowered women who have resisted, have challenged the system, have turned around what was apparently their destiny and have generated a change. Their objectives are: 1.- Tell Latin America from the perspective of women who emigrate. They are the ones who take control of how they want to narrate that challenging event that occurred in their lives.2.- Introduce the podcast as a tool to tackle stereotypes and break thought frameworks that appeal to “being a Latina woman.”3.- Make known stories that traditional media do not cover so that society can learn about a reality that it did not know before. Be the speaker so that those stories that seem not to exist are visible and heard.4.-Address all stories with a gender perspective.5.- Bring the cultural richness of Latin America closer to listeners.6.- Generate a community of listeners that participate, ask questions and are more empathetic.7.- Build a diverse and empathetic sound design that inspires any listener to find their own voice.
