La Serena Online is an independent online news newspaper that was created as a result of the need to find news about the Coquimbo Region in a truthful and reliable manner, not only covering serious aspects, but also news that does not have sufficient coverage for the community. That is why this digital newspaper seeks to integrate regional society so that they feel identified with them.
After 10 years of experience, we managed to have the "Communicate with Equality" certification, delivered by the Government of Chile and UN Women. This allows us to communicate without prejudices, stereotypes and under equal conditions for women.
Our work team is made up of a small group of professionals from various areas, independent, ordinary citizens, without political color; wanting to inform people in their community. The diversity of professionals who work in this medium makes up a global vision that goes far beyond the technical and focuses rather on the practical, which causes its readers to identify with the news that is disseminated. In this way: teachers, computer scientists, cameramen, psychologists, nutritionists, veterinarians and journalists; They provide greater veracity and precision to the news.
