La Vida de Nos is characterized by a particular way of telling that combines journalism and literature, and that reaches readers in very diverse formats, from written stories to comics or feature-length documentaries. Its purpose is to awaken emotion, promote empathy and recognition among citizens, promote social action and preserve the testimonial memory of ordinary citizens of today's Venezuela, putting the spotlight on their human condition.

His series They are political prisoners, we were also a finalist in the Texts category of the 2018 Gabo Awards, and the special Huir, migrar, parir – in alliance with GK from Ecuador, Mutante from Colombia and Distintas Latitudes from Mexico – won the Roche award in 2021. Another recognition, among several over the years, was a special mention in the 2021 Ortega y Gasset Awards for his special Los Confinados.

The website was redesigned in 2024. The blog-type structure, which organized the content chronologically, changed to one inspired by streaming platforms, focusing more on thematic collections and facilitating readers' encounters with the topics of their interest. In addition, they incorporated an audio version of all the stories, guaranteeing their access to people with visual disabilities.

The site has an Interaction Button Panel that, through a self-developed plugin, has four buttons to share the stories through messaging and social networks, learn about social organizations that work on the topic of each story, communicate directly with the protagonist and access related content. They also offer stories in English on a mirror site of the main one.

The La Vida de Nos work team is made up of 12 people, led by journalist Albor Rodríguez and narrator Héctor Torres, co-founders of the site. The stories are produced by its network of external collaborators, about 500 inside and outside Venezuela. They publish between 8 and 16 stories monthly. They all go through cross-editing by at least three editors, which guarantees their quality and the exercise of editing as an accompaniment to the author so that his voice and that of the protagonist of the story shine.

La Vida de Nos has its own virtual training platform, El Aula e-nos, and offers services to social organizations, companies and individuals through Emotio, its storytelling and social creativity agency.
