Mapuexpress, Colectivo De Comunicacion Mapuche

http://www.mapuexpress.org/

Mapuexpress seeks, through social communication and activism, the defense, promotion and advocacy for the collective rights of the People, mainly the Mapuche People. The online newspaper was born at the beginning of 2000 under the leadership of the Kona Pewman group, made up mainly of young Mapuche professionals.

Its website indicates that currently its online platform and its social networks (twitter, facebook and instagram) are spaces at the service of the defense of territories, the self-determination of peoples and social transformation, given the genocide against indigenous peoples, and the establishment of the neoliberal, capitalist, extractivism and patriarchal model.

Mapuexpress is a newspaper that began as an information site on the internet and that progressively consolidated itself as a collective, expanding to various forms in the field of communications, venturing into printed production (newsletters and books) and radio production, initiatives immersed in collective processes related to freedom of expression, the defense of territories, justice and reparation of indigenous rights.
