Maré De Notícias

https://mareonline.com.br/

Maré de Notícias is a vehicle that gives visibility to events in Maré, as well as those that impact the lives of the 140,000 people from Maré, in order to guarantee rights and improve their quality of life. Founded in 2009 by Redes da Maré, Maré de Notícias was born with the mission of informing in order to mobilize the population of the territory.

Maré de Notícias has thus consolidated its position as the main source of quality information for the 140,000 residents of Maré's 16 favelas. The printed newspaper is distributed free of charge on a monthly basis in Maré's 16 favelas. In 2017, the newspaper launched an online version, www.mareonline.com.br, producing daily content on the same themes as those already print covered.

In addition to quality information, the topics promote citizenship and are an instrument for the sustainable development of Maré, in areas such as health, the environment, urban mobility, human rights, public safety, the economy, and behavior.
