Meta Crisis is a self-managed media dedicated to the production of audiovisual journalistic content on social networks. Founded in 2021 in the province of Tucumán (Argentina), it offers research, coverage and analysis on politics, human rights, gender, feminism, the environment, among other social issues. It is made up of communication, journalism and audiovisual production professionals, who understand journalism as a tool for social transformation and the dispute of meanings. Its approach is part of popular and alternative communication, promoting a critical view that questions the present and generates new perspectives to think about the future. In addition to informing, Meta Crisis provides a critical approach to local, regional and national reality. With a familiar language and a strong commitment to digital experimentation, he builds narratives crossed by the culture and identity of Tucumán.  In 2024, Meta Crisis took another step in its mission with the creation of the Periodismo en Crisis Foundation, with the purpose of contributing to social transformation through various projects and activities. The main objectives of the foundation are to promote communication that respects Human Rights, freedom of expression, access to public information, the protection of journalistic life and integrity, and training for the exercise of the profession. To achieve these goals, the foundation carries out alliances with civil society organizations, educational institutions and other media.
