MiWisconsin is a digital media in Spanish that seeks to provide information, news and education to disadvantaged populations. Its mission is to be a defender and voice of unrepresented communities. Born with the appearance of the pandemic, in just two years (between 2020 and 2022), MiWiconsin went from being a Facebook page to being a recognized medium at a local and national level. For Spanish speakers in the region, it has been the first means of contact that provides trust and credibility in the midst of fake news or without credible sources. As a digital media it has been recognized by CUNY (The City University of New York) as one of the 50 digital media that responded first at the time of the coronavirus crisis. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit business with fiscal support from the Center For Community Stewardship. The profile update for this media was collected through desktop research.
