Nube Roja is an independent media outlet. Founded in the city of Piura (Peru) in 2018, and its editorial line is governed by 3 maxims: the truth about any circumstance; the importance of form and substance in writing; and journalistic honesty. Its main task is to develop local issues—little addressed or made visible—with the intention of making them of national and international interest. His specialty lies in narrative journalism. The main topics it publishes and cover are the climate crisis, environmental conflicts, gender issues, environmental initiatives, the Amazon and social conflicts.

The magazine contains long-term reports with a marked tendency towards narrative journalism and New Journalism. During its years of operation it has managed to win awards in Peru and abroad. The awards that 6 of their published works have received are: the 2020 YOUNG JOURNALIST AWARD world journalism award awarded by the Thomson Foundation and Foreign Press Association (FPA), the national journalistic award "Let's take care of water, let's take care of life" organized by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru, and the journalistic award for Peruvian journalists "Perú se Reactiva" organized by the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (COMEX PERU) and Scotiabank.
