Nyhetsbyrån Järva

https://www.nyhetsbyranjarva.se/

Nyhetsbyrån Järva was founded in 2018 by journalists Kerstin Gustafsson Figueroa and Yasemin Öztenar.

"Many residents of Järva do not recognise themselves in the coverage of the area," according to the founders. "We wanted to change that. We believe in the power of local news. That's where the real stories are, and that's why we started this web magazine."

The platform publishes articles about and from Järva that other (national) media can subsequently pick up.

Nyhetsbyrån Järva is a non-partisan, political journalism platform aiming to cover Järva stories with the support and collaboration of its residents. It also wants to train local reporters to cover the area.
