The news website O Popular was founded in 1998 as an offshoot of the printed newspaper. Initially, the site published the same content as the newspaper. In 2001, they began publishing short exclusive notes for the site and, in 2021, they formed a team of 16 people who work to produce digital content. There are still employees who provide services for print and digital, and both are registered under the same CNPJ. The Jaime Câmara group owns the printed newspaper and website O Popular, 11 Globo and CBN affiliates in Goiás and Tocantins, as well as other companies in these territories. The site's content is exclusive to subscribers.
