Otra Economia

Otra Economía is an independent journalistic project based in Argentina, founded by Florencia Tuchin in November 2022. This medium offers a free access information service, focused mainly on models and initiatives that promote new economies in Latin America and the Caribbean. The project seeks to generate conversations around triple impact, the circular economy, entrepreneurship and social innovation, with the aim of informing, raising awareness and inspiring about models of social, environmental and economic impact. Among its activities, Otra Economía produces notes, workshops and a weekly newsletter, where ideas and visions about a circular, inclusive and triple impact economy are shared. In response to the negative impact of the current economic model, the medium highlights the role of those who “do”, “innovate” and generate positive impact, while promoting the formation of a community of readers committed to change. The Otra Economía team is made up of a network of communication professionals who collaborate on the project. In addition, it has an Editorial Committee made up of expert organizations on the subject, such as Ashoka, GDFE, Sumatoria, Fundación Alimentaris, POTENCIAR and Sistema B, which provide advice and support. The project aims to diversify its sources of income, a key strategy to guarantee its independence. Likewise, it promotes the active participation of the people and communities that make up its audience.
