Peridicas is a self-managed media with a gender perspective, emerged on the Santa Fe coast with the aim of contesting the media scene from feminisms. Founded and directed by communication workers, its initial proposal was to make visible stories and analyzes that question the traditional narratives of the hegemonic media, particularly those that relegate women and dissidents to secondary roles. Since its inception, the Periódicos team has focused on building popular and dissident communication, combining journalism with initiatives such as its own survey of femicides and transfemicides in the province, the creation of Punto Seguro—a mapping of organizations civilians who assist victims of gender violence—and the development of style manuals and inclusive communication protocols. Over time, the medium consolidated itself as a work cooperative, implementing internal management systems and establishing a collective decision-making and remuneration model. In addition, Peridicas complements its financing with its content agency, Juncas, and its subscriber club, Mecha Corta, which allows it to sustain its activity and expand its reach. Over five years, the medium has forged alliances with groups, foundations and communities, creating a collaboration network that reinforces its mission. Peridicas' commitment remains intact: to report responsibly, make ignored stories visible and promote collective organization in the face of a context that deepens inequalities and hate speech. In the face of adversity, their response is clear: resist and build collectively.
