Pie de Página is an independent journalistic portal from Periodistas de a Pie, made up of a network of national and international journalists experts in social issues. It was founded in 2015 as a platform for chronicles and reports on topics related to human rights violations, state violence, impunity, dispossession, corruption, inequality, migration, freedom of expression, transparency and accountability. The Pie de Página project seeks to explain "the causes and consequences of the decisions of power groups in their daily lives, and also opens spaces for reflection, the search for solutions and the link with the mechanisms of change," it is explained on the portal. From the México-Leaks platform, complaints or leaks can be sent about the topics covered by the medium. "We believe in reporting and access to public information for accountability by authorities and decision-making by citizens."The team is made up of journalists, photographers, and graphic designers. The portal is also a space of solidarity for journalists displaced by their work and censored by the editorial lines of the media, who are looking for a means to disseminate information that makes power groups uncomfortable, in addition to threatening conditions or that put their work at risk.
