Pulso Noticias is a cooperative digital media based in La Plata, Argentina, born on June 7, 2018, Journalists' Day in the country. It was created by a group of journalists, photographers, editors, announcers, audiovisual producers and designers after the massive layoffs that occurred at the newspaper Hoy and radio Red 92. Faced with this situation, the team decided to organize collectively to continue practicing their profession. Pulso Noticias presents itself as the first cooperative digital newspaper in the region and seeks to offer a different informative proposal, focused on human rights, the gender perspective and social, environmental, political and cultural problems. Since its creation, the medium has defended journalism with rigor and commitment, moving away from the dynamics of large media corporations. In its first years, the team worked remotely using personal resources, but in 2021 it opened its first newsroom in the heart of La Plata. From this space, located at 55 No. 618 between 7 and 8, it continues to develop collaborative journalism close to the community. Pulso Noticias prioritizes work on the ground, covering the reality of the city and the region with simple but effective tools: a microphone, a camera, a cell phone or a pen. The media invites those who support it to come to its editorial office and be part of a project that seeks to build solid and transformative informative links. They received several recognitions, such as the Adriana Calvo awarded by the UNLP in 2024.
