“Repórter Brasil” was founded in 2001 by a group of recently graduated journalists whose aim was to identify and publicize situations that violate labor rights and cause socio-environmental damage in Brazil. The organization aims to mobilize social, political and economic leaders to build a society that respects human rights and is more just, egalitarian and democratic. Because of its work, it has become one of the most important organizations involved in combating contemporary slave labor and human trafficking in the country.
