What began as a radio newscast in 2014, began to occupy the web and the social networks Twitter and Instagram at the beginning of 2015. "What I do is an effort because I like it, it is a dream that I wanted to fulfill," says its creator, journalist Nelson Dugarte. The Diario Frontera journalist also explains that he publishes an average of seven news stories a day from the Politics and Community sources, with two updates, one in the morning and another in the late afternoon. In addition to daily coverage, it is supported by editing press releases and exchanging information with other press workers. During student times it has interns from UNICA, Cecilio Acosta Catholic University, Mérida headquarters, and permanently one person is in charge of web maintenance.  Reporters of Mérida has advertising banners that occupy local services and some political figures, without this affecting the impartiality of the content. Dugarte has already had an impact in his community and among colleagues who are interested in participating in the digital project. He is convinced of the benefits that the upcoming improvements that he will apply to the website will bring, which contemplate the inclusion of legal and educational topics.
