Su Region

This digital newspaper was born as a project of the Universidad Surcolombiana in 2011, with the purpose of reporting and analyzing the main events in Neiva and the department of Huila. Given its university origin, SuRegión strives to work following good information practices in the digital context, including multimedia content and "promoting dialogue, interaction and preponderating the user as a member of the information process", as stated in its official description. The medium is managed by the university, but its journalistic independence stands out. The medium states that it has a commitment to the region to exercise responsible, comprehensive journalism, working with the analysis of the situation in tune with the tools available in the digital environment.
