Sumando Voces

Sumando Voces is a niche media that aims to give a voice to civil society in its actions against the State. Despite having the focus on civil society organizations and social organizations, one of its principles is pluralism because it seeks multi-actor dialogue as a mechanism to generate impact in the State. For this reason, social or civil leaders, but also state authorities, international cooperation, academia and other actors can converge on its platforms. If this happens, civil society can raise its demands more directly. Sumando Voces is a medium that reports and analyzes the facts and, little by little, has become a kind of civil society news agency because other media outlets republish its content. Setting the media agenda brings you closer to your advocacy goal. The issues of human rights, democracy and sustainable development are worked on from the data generated by third sector institutions, but also with the stories of the protagonists. Sumando Voces is not a generalist media nor does it pretend to be massive, it is not immediatist, it is not mercantilist, it is not at the service of political or economic power. Sumando Voces was born within UNITAS, a network of 22 NGOs in Bolivia, but it is not a means of NGOs, but of civil society.
