Ukraїner is a digital media project that aims to understand who Ukrainians are and to put these findings in a mass media format accessible to the whole world through in-depth research.

Ukraїner publishes educational stories - from Ukraine's farthest corners - about people, art, business, the environment, sustainable tourism, arts and crafts, music, education, folklore, museums, farming, and national minorities. More than 200 volunteers produce these stories, showing Ukraine from different perspectives. The main formats are written articles, photography, and film production.

In response to people moving out of the small towns for bigger cities, Ukraїner felt prompted to tell the stories from all the corners of the country to Ukrainians themselves and to rethink the historical and cultural DNA - the ethnic, geographic, and anthropological features - of Ukraine.

So Ukraїner's first anthropological and ethnographic expedition lasted from June 2016 until October 2018 and covered all 16 historic regions of Ukraine, from Slobozhanshchyna to Podillia and Volyn to Tavria, excluding the temporarily occupied territories.

Since the invasion, all the media channels have focused on overcoming the catastrophes, such as projects on de-occupation, collecting stories from PoW, demystifying Russian propaganda, and Russian imperialism.

Ukraїner also publishes books; two are already out, and one is coming soon.
