Vergara 240 is a digital multiplatform of the School of Journalism of the Diego Portales University (UDP) in Chile, which includes a website, social networks and an online radio. Since its creation in 2015, it has sought to become a space for the practice of excellent journalism, currently standing out for addressing topics of public interest and current affairs, with an innovative approach and the use of various digital resources. The project is developed by a team made up of academics, professionals and students of Journalism from the UDP, who work collaboratively to produce journalistic content, such as investigation, chronicles, interviews, podcasts, fact-checking and audiovisual documentaries. Vergara 240 has been recognized on several occasions for its quality and relevance, obtaining awards such as Journalistic Excellence awarded by the Alberto Hurtado University and Pobre el Que no Cambia de Mirada. The programming of its online radio and the content of its platforms are carried out entirely by students, thanks to which the medium has established itself as a laboratory for practical training in journalism.
