Radio Vilardevoz has been operating at the Vilardebó Hospital for almost twenty years. The project is based on three fundamental pillars: participation, communication and mental health. It seeks to contribute to the rehabilitation process of psychiatric patients from a community health perspective, developing a “Communicational and Participatory Project” that serves as a model to promote the design of institutional rehabilitation and social reintegration strategies, promote understanding of the social conception of mental illness at the community level, promoting discussion and social debate about madness, its dimensions and limits, and promote the production of knowledge and professional training, both undergraduate and postgraduate, in the area of community mental health.
